VMY'2007(In Search of IKAN BAKAR BROGA)

Yes Cuti Cuti Malaysia has changed its name to VISIT MALAYSIA 2007 in support for the Visit Malaysia 2007 campaign and also in celebration of Malaysia's 50th year of independence.

I started out for the search for the elusive IKAN BAKAR BROGA by meeting up with one of CCM's core members JUDY@ DARKANGEL ;) at KL SENTRAL.. The weather was quiet humid but overcast and looked like it was going to rain real heavily. Upon meeting the DarkAngel we proceeded to meet up with another CCM core member TEE @ TEE GORENG at KELANA JAYA LRT Station, the meet was supposed to be at 12:30 PM sharp although yours truly BLACKGOBLIN & DARKANGEL were kinda side tracked due to you know the LRT hehehe yah right....any way as the three of us met...we started our mission in search of BROGA, we left KJ around 12:45pm and after an hour and a half of searching for some land mark "THE ILLUSIVE CHINESE TEMPLE" supposed to be on the map details which GORENG forgot to print out entirely..............FINALLY WE FOUND AND ARRIVE AT THE MOST SOUGHT TARGET PLACE :D...................BROGA FINALLY (By the way LUCIFER was in HELL on another assignment.)

Aha!!!! This is digital proof that we found the place...don’t ask how, if you do, we will take that up on another segment of our post. As you can see it looks like its located in the middle of the jungle of ulu land where you need a semi-4x4 to get there....not to worry TEE's SAFARI managed the terrain like taking candy from a little girl.

Even FISH were delighted to see us the came close to use to have a look......not knowing what EVIL was coming to them...."SERVED FOR LUNCH"

AHHHHHHHH! and yes we found a good spot to seat ;) ......note at the smile of the EVIL DARKANGEL...."thinkin of the fate of the FISH" hehehe LUNCH poor talapia's

See How EVIL this two were..........what a way to pas the time while waiting for the fate of the fish to be decided!!!! and what a more best way to decide the fate of these fish, is by first enjoying a bottle of the pussycat beer ......"TIGER" ;)

Yes the fate of the fish has been decided...............


Look at them, hehehehehehehe yum yum our initial order were for 4 medium sized fish......cooked in four different ways ;) yum yum yum...we ordered the Steamed Catfish...which went very well with its cousin relative the bottle of pussycat...."TIGER BEER" although both of them are related since they both belong to the CAT family....CATFISH & TIGER both are cats ;)...............next were the "TOMYAM", "TALAPIA roasted wrapped in fresh banana leaves "IKAN BAKAR Banana leaf", " and the "ASAM IKAN BAKAR" all the last 3 FISH by the way are not realated to the pussycat....;)

oh yes the sweet sweet cousin of the pussycat.........."STEAMED CATFISH" cooked prepared wrapped in a foil, marinated with a little sweet soy sauce, and added a few lady fingers.... yum yum soooooooooooo sweet and nicely cooked.

the yet excellent "IKAN BAKAR TOMYAM" not a cousin of the pussycat nor the pussycat dolls but yet goes very well with the "TIGER" hehehehe. . .

"IKAN BAKAR BANANA LEAF" awwwwww mouth watering....see how well it was cooked...just nice and shuk.... not dry and burned...even it was only wrapped in banana leaf, just writing about it make me wanna go back there this weekend for another round of fish and the CAT family...;) (course much much better if my MYSTIQUE was with me)

"IKAN BAKAR ASAM" wow this picture makes me still taste the fresh ingredients....the sourness of the asam blending with the sweetness of the fish meat ;) just really heavenly awesome...and not to forget the fresh "Bunga Kan Tan" that makes the distinctive taste of good asam fish...with out the Bunga Kan Tan ingredient ....forget eating ASAM FISH LAH!

Ok take note of the 3 pussycat dolls....... ;) and the DARKANGEL........ savoring the moment

2nd to the last "IKAN BAKAR SALT" just cooked with table rock salt.....just excellently cooked to its nice finish......Syok! lah

and for the finale.................."IKAN BAKAR MUSHROOM".........fish nicely cooked to its SYOK finest with mushroom sauce and lady fingers......just fantastic....

Our overall rating of this cuti cuti escapades’ at BROGA can be rated as a 4.5 out of a scale of 5.....am sure the two other devils will agree with me with this rating . It was worth the search, and worth the time spent in the trip,,,,, in search of BROGA..........Broga by the way is not in KAJANG......you just pass through KAJANG to get to BROGA..... it actually is part of NEGRI SIMBILAN already....untill the next VISIT MALAYSIA 2007.... see you soon baby ko...;)

The Glory of KLCC

There she stands in her full majesty, giving accent to the KL night 
sky KLCC from a first look, one thing sure is,  love at first sight.

like the lady in the song ......"Wonderful Tonight" she puts on her make up when her lights go on, KLCC is a party stunner a pretty perfect date to be with....no hustles, no complications, and no complaints from her ;) ..... You might just agree with me there for one second, if KLCC were a woman she need not ask "do I look all right?" ..... for I'd say "Yes you look wonderful tonight".

As dawn breaks, and the sun starts to lit up the KL sky, you see KLCC as she unfolds a different side of her.... the experience is breathtaking. 

. . . As I watch her from my balcony view… I am mesmerized by the scene as the sunlight slowly bathes KLCC, bringing out her beauty

. . . the seconds pass as I look at her, as she reveals her glory like an orchid in full bloom, I am captivated by the moment . . .

KLCC and Her Majesty

Am supposed to be sharing posts related to food and recipes that i have come up with on my own and have encountered from my frequent traveling around. But since its also a chronicle well i just thought to myself why not just share this also with you, on the majesty of the second tallest building structure in the world.

Yes She is no other but the Petronas Twin Towers of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, or for short and a common household name dubbed as KLCC. Regardless having her crown taken away from her as the worlds tallest structure, anyway I look at her, far or near she does take one's breath away. (to the exception of Cindy, just a look at her just takes my breath away)

Cindy is not the focus of my post today so, but if you want to find out who she is, I suggest you drop in from time to time and stick around this blogg for Cindy to be revealed. Anyway let get back to KLCC, let me share a few night snapshots of her... regardless of the weather she is in, KLCC just elegantly strikes her pose and steals the scene.
