TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY MY CHRISTMAS GIVE AWAYS

Tis the season to be jolly ;-) , oh well i woke up early Sunday to mess up my kitchen and do all the mess on my carpet seen on the left. Yes messed up the kitchen by baking Chocolate Crinkle cookies, Almond Mocha Chip cookies, and Chocolate Raisin cookies.

All this efforts for what?, you may ask. Well its the season to be jolly.... well once a year i do change from being a gringe to being a bit nice ;-)... and for what again?.... well it's for an act of penetence... i believe in, at the end of the day at lifes end .. well are to be judged for the good thing we've done. (just don't ask me who's going to judge you mortal)

you should give me an A for creativity, after getting all my trimmings from a nice shop down in China town and having packed all the cookies, then the tranformation for may Xmas give aways.

ask me again why i do this stuff every year end? .... i may just tell you the answer behind this act of penetence and not the stuff about being judged hahaha... hmmmm intresting huh! transfoamation of simple plastic jars with some cookies inside.... and Bill Gates never thought of that... as he is quite famous in our office..

Mrs. Bill Gates must be thinkin.... i should have thought about that... well Mrs. Gates quite famous too at my office... ha ha ha ;-) not just because windows suck big time.. oh well enough of that... piece of advice Mrs. Gates, to get to make this cookie jar beauties all you need is a glue gun.
see see see, well it's real simple, all one needs is a bit of creativity, some color coordination and you got it done.. you got a good xmas goodie give away.
wow i'll give myself an ego pat, i got all of this beauties done and ready in one day... i made 10 of this beauties... well one for sure will be for Bill Gates.... those reading who know Bill Gates, don't ask me "why ah" why he is gettin one cookie jar... you know why i'm giving him one of this... just to stop him from asking "WHY AH"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh

EXOTIC FOOD OF "KAZAKHSTAN"

Kazakhstan a former Russian state is the ninth-largest country in the world and the largest land-locked country in the world. It is euivalent to the size of Western Europe. It shares borders with Russia, Uzbekistan and China, and borders as far reaching to the Caspian Sea.

Kazakhstan has a very rich past that make its cuisines quite diverse and unique. This country has in just a few years come to be one destination for one to discover its vast beauty and culture since her independence from Russia.

In the country interior you find it scenic with hills that sprawl the country side, as mentioned this travel destination has lots to offer from relics during its past from the rule of tszars and not to forget the rich tastes in cuisines it holds by influience of the cultures past.

Almaty is Kazakhstan's largest city formerly the capital, it is one of the places where you experience almost all the exotic tastes you may be introduced to. Like any other country, one must be daring enough to try local food delicacies to get to know the real country. For me food coming from a country outside of my own i consider "EXOTIC" and it shouldn't be under the class of ( steaks, french fries, hotdogs etc.) the norm united states food if ya know what i mean. Take for example the Horse meat (Kazy) sausages above.... thats what i mean by EXOTIC. (by the way the sausages are very good eaten with spicy mustard and bread or crackers)
Kere is a very popular stew in Kazakhstan made from horse meat, it is prepared using the tripe, ribs, potatoes, spinach, cumin, bay leaves, onions, paprika, and fresh dill. It is very tasty, i love this dish eaten with pita or whole grain bread. Although horse meat is quite a taboo specially in english speaking countries, like the UK and the US and Asian christian counties. It is a staple in Kazakhstan.
Zhaya made from hip meat which is smoked and boiled is another very well known dish, it is usually eaten again with bread or better with mashed or boild potatoes. The meat has a slightly sweet taste reminiscent of a combination of beef and venison. So who says that eating horse meat is a taboo?, when down in Kazakhs i would recommend trying it...and im sure it would change your perception of it being taboo.. ;)

Kuching "Cat City" Sarawak

Kuching is the capital of Sarawak, Kuching translates into Malay for cat, literal local word "pusa". Although it has never been clear how the city got its name. Kuching "Cat City" one may get the impression that the place has lots of cats around but in reality is the oposite, although you may get to see lots of feline carvings and statues around the city.

I was in Kuching quite recently, coming back to this place does not tire me at all. Kuching is a place that one has lots to discover, from the greenery that you find everywhere, to the food that the city has to offer.

unlike other cities of Malaysia, there is something enchanting and relaxing about this place. For me, it may be the friendly people, climate, scenery and the sea that captivates me. Hotel access to the city proper is convinient, several are located within which gives you a feel to explore the city in a breeze. I always prefer checking into the Hilton Kuching which has a superb view of the Sarawak River, at the sea side i always book at the Holiday Inn Damai.

Up close at the banks of the Sarawak River, here there is a walkway that is lined with shop botiques where one can find assortments of local goods for sale, from the local rice wine "Tuak", wood carvings, paintings and a lot lot more. There are also boat rides that you can take along the river which is not a bad offer at all, specially on a moon lit evening, or during the day you can actually rent a fishing rod for RM 10 plus and just fish along the banks just for the heck of it.
this was taken from inside Kenny Rogers Roasters, i really dont know why i took this picture... oh well heck, Kenny Rogers is just a two minute work away from the Hilton...just an idea how you can get there if you get bored with hotel food...most of the time i do...i rather try the street food around the place..not i'm saying that roasters is street food.... lol... they say for you to experience one place one must try the local variety... and if your stomach cant handle the local food then you have Kenny Rogers ;-)

name of this Bar & Cafe uh oh i forgot :( sorry , but it's a nice cozy place to have dinner and drinks with friends if you got any in Kuching... its a 3 minute walk from the hotel... there are other watering holes and cafe's nearby...but this place i got at home with. I'm sure if you are from Kuching and reading this you would easily recognize this place... please do drop me a post on the name ;)
