DIWALI (LIGHT CONQUERS DARKNESS)

What is the festival of Diwali?. In every religion there is always a story, the on-going battle between good and evil, light over darkness.... God conquers Satan (christian belief)..fiction StarWars and so on.

For Hindu's Diwali (the festival of lights) is the festival celebrating victory, the slaying the demon king Narakasura by Lord Krishna. In the epic story Ramayana, Diwali marks the return of Lord Raama to his kingdom Ayodhya after defeating Ravana (the Demon Kin).

Diwali is also the time for forgiveness and thanksgiving for blessing received for the year past.
