MIG-29 FULCRUM (Up Close and Personal)

While on assignment had this chance to get up close and personal with the Russian Микоян МиГ-29 took this photos while on air maneuvers....this particular model of the Mikoyan MIG-29G is a 4th-generation jet fighter aircraft designed in the Soviet Union for an air superiority role. Developed in the 1970s by the Mikoyan design bureau, it entered service with the Soviet Air Force in 1983, and remains in use by the Russian Air Force as well as in many other nations.

The MIG-29 has two widely spaced Klimov RD-33 turbofan engines, each rated at 50.0 KN (11,240 lb) dry and 81.3 kN (18,277 lb) in afterburner. The spce between the engines generates lift, thereby reducing effective wing loading, to improve maneuverability.The egines are fed throug wedge-type intakes fitted under the leading-edge extensions (LERXs), which have variable ramps toallow high-Mach speeds.
