KURAGE Appetizer (Jelly Fish)
Echizen kurage (Nomura’s jellyfish) invade the Sea of Japan each autmun, seriously disrupting fishing operations. The giant jellyfish can grow up to 2 meters wide and weigh up to 200 kilograms (450 lbs) each. One nice thing about this giant sea manace they taste nice too ;). Here is a simple contribution of mine to my fellow Japanese friends, to helping control the numbers of this sea monsters.
INGREDIENTS :

- Kurage (Jelly Fish)
- White Onion
- Fresh Lemon Juice
- Salt
- White Carrot (Radish)
- Chili (Chili padi)
- Crushed Black Pepper Corns
julienne onion ....
julienne kurage......... ;)
Mix all together in a mixing bowl, add fresh lemon juice salt, and pepper....add a splash of rice vinegar....
and what do we have? .....well well a good nice simple kurage appetizer that goes pretty well with fine Santory and a good Corona or ROMEO Y JULIRTA #1 hmmmmm yum yum mama mia heavenly on a slow Sunday afternoon.....;)
