The modern space - with its timber and brick decor, and campy soundtrack of Re'nee Olstead and Basia - gives little hint of its Thai provenance. But the breezy menu, dotted with snapshots of Bangkok, dishes out quickly cooked and delicious staples. Start with a pomelo salad tossed with chilli and dry shrimp or the fried discs of fish cakes sprinkled with fried basil leaves. Tender chunks of curry-marinated chicken are charcoaled in pandan leaves, while the sweet, thick gravy of the massaman curry has tender chunks of beef and potato. Wash it all down with a tall glass of lemongrass tea or a bottle of Singha to give you the feel of Bangkok far from home.
