YONG TAU FOO
Bit more info on this dish, Yong tau foo is essentially a clear consomme soup containing a varied selection of food items including fish balls, crab sticks, bittergourds, cuttlefish, lettuce, ladies fingers, as well as chilis, and various forms of fresh produce, seafood and meats common in Chinese cuisine. Some of these items, such as bittergourd and chili, are usually filled with fish paste (surimi). this is the fantastic chili sauce to go with the Yong Tau Foo, it is a mixture of fried chili, dark soy sauce, ground peanuts, with a dash of sesame oil. Some like it hot...... i like it spicy hot... the spicier the better ;) shok!
check out the plump home made Mee noodles this place boasts about... the word of mouth about this yong tau foo shop at Potong Pasir is... "that's why it is popular, is of the home or handmade noodles they use" hence making it special... it's kinda bit pricy though deppending on the number of food items you sellect to go with your soup. As for this i paid SG$ 6.80. For me was worth the money. I recommend you have a go for yong tau foo if you happen to be, or wonder around Potong Pasir.
