Sky Bar (Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur)

Hotel bars aren't always just for tourists. Not called The Sky Bar for nothing, the Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur boast an indoor pool and an open air pavillion pertched high up at the 33rd floor, setting ambient mood of the bar. This contemporary space is decked out with sleek high tables and chairs, while the spacious terrace is inlayed with low cussion mattreses serving as make shift cabanas for a perfect birthday/new job/engagement celebratory spot with an intoxicating view of the city around.

Apart from the wel mixed drinks and a menu of delectable nibbles - try the smoked salmon and dill sauce on crackers - you can expect five-star service from the staff, who are more than happy to bring round complimentary mixed nuts. Imported beers like Corona would cost you RM 30++, the music played are current hip tunes although the volume can can get too loud sometimes.
the pool is one of the attractions to this place, to the left is the make shift cabanas i've made mention earlier, if you have something special in mind, it is recommended that you call for reservation in advance specially if you want to be sited at that place... where the view of KLCC and its surroundings are really superb.

back lit bottle counter adding mood to the ambiance of the bar, the menu of mixed drinks and list of wines seem endless ideal for the partying yuppy croud... although for draft beers its sadly short...missing one personal fav Guinese draft.
ever wondered what, 1 part vodka, 1 part tequilla, 1 part rum, 1 part gin, 1 part tripple sec, 1 1/2 part sweet & sour mix, 1 splash of coca cola mixed all together is all about?...well you've guest it right...its Long Island Tea... ever wondered why they call it tea when it actually does not have any tea?...makes me wonder too. RM 29.

lets party, this girl dressed in old rose is now the official event coordinator for week end bar stops...for those who want to know her hmmmm its for me to know and for you to find out, although i can always be bribed hehe... the equaly sweet charming party dudette with her is one of my banker friends...need an AMEX well you might as well bribe me and i'd put in a good word for you with her ;)
hmmmm to new friends... dan and pam are bankers too, seems like its a convention for bankers night...nice getting to know you guys...the pleasure is mine.
what did i tell you, this is one of the intoxicating views one gets to see at Sky Bar, Kuala Lumpur's crown jewel The Petronas Twin Towers..
if you are down in KL as a tourist this place is a 5 out of 5 to check out, a great place to unwind with a great view, and if your local and have not yet been or have heard of Sky Bar then the joke is on you .......oh before i forget strict dress code is observed to a minimum casual chic.

Fusili (ITALIAN)

This informal Italian dish is a hit among my friends, The meat free sauce recipe of mine, uses basic fresh herbs of basil, oregano, garlic, and pitted tomatoes simmered in low heat to bring out their full flavours. - heavy loops of al dente pasta with large pitter copote black olives make the entire dish. To finish sprinkle freshly grated parmediano drenched in extra-virgin olive oil.....enjoy
