THE EYE ON MALAYSIA (VMY'2007 Come on)

2007 marks Malaysia's 50 years as a nation. And in celebration of it's 50 years as a nation the government has launched an all out extravaganza to bring in tourists to experience what Malaysia is all about. One of this campaigns is the Visit Malaysia 2007, within this campaign are various come on's that the country has planned out, like bringing in tourists from all over by cheap travel packages tied up with airline carriers and local hotels.

One featured attraction that they have constructed in Kuala Lumpur, that has been the buzz of the media promotions in recent months is the structure of a giant ferris wheel that they have named Eye on Malaysia....probably something to have sounded like the London Eye...why din't they just name it KL Eye anyway? LOL...duh! well like i said it has made quite a buzz in the media and even the blogsphere..it was the talk of the town perse, not to mention the talk too in local politics for a while, so to speak the nightly fireworks that i could see too from my balcony coming from the Eye... well to one i must say it would really be a come on attraction with the much publicity it was given....was likewise christened by the premiere. BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ well for some of us it was quite intriguing to get to see what this spectacle was all about. (By the way for purposes of stats the Eye on Malaysia is 60 meters in height compared to the London Eye which stands at 132 meters) so last Saturday after work me and the team decided to check what this BUZZ BUZZ was all about, without further ado i present to you the Eye on Malaysia.

Located at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur (GPS Coordinates 3°10'39.20"N, 101°42'15.68"E) if you have a PDA equipped with GPS well sure you can find it ;) if you are not from KL and a tourist...but if you are local then just take a taxi and they fellow will take you straight there...should not cost you more than RM 10.00 from the Bukit Bintang area.

who is this hedious looking devil? hmmmmmm , another wheel backdrop for posterity sake....coz from what i heard this wheel will be gone by Jan 2008....its just a rental just for the celebration of Malaysia's 50 years as a nation and if i still got the luck of a devil ill still be here during the Merdeka celebrations in August this year.....chika....chika

picture from the other side of the lake....picture of or humsap pose by a demon and taken by another devil...well over all...our team review of the Eye on Malaysia... well the place gardemn could be better if there was a nice PUB, watering hole around...we could not find a single place where to yam seng lah.....the park was okay clean...food not so much of a place for food...picture taking okay lah ....can can oso...but over all nothing really that much to do over there but to ride the wheel and go watch watch lah.....
